Okay, so I think there are probably a ton of sayings out there about how life is full of ups and downs, life is a merry-go-round, life is a rollercoaster (hence those ups and downs. please pass the dramamine.), etc, etc, etc.
I think this one might be my favorite, though. (tee-hee)
My life has definitely been riding that rollercoaster the past few months, that’s for sure. I didn’t intend to take a little blogging break, especially since I was just getting back at it. But, sometimes, shit happens and you just have to roll with it.
Not IN it, silly. That would be disgusting. (Haha. See? This is where the smiling part comes in handy.) 😀
Now, I’m in sort of a state of flux. It’s like I’m in a coaster car creeping up to the top of the first hill but the hill is unbelievably high and I can’t even see where the top is so I don’t know when to hold my breath and squeeze my eyes shut. Fun, huh? And yes, I ride roller coasters with my eyes shut. #dontjudgeme #scaredycat
It’s all good, though. I’m a firm believer in fate and I know that my life will zoom off in the right direction when the time comes. 🙂
Meanwhile, I’m just hanging around, doing ALL the yard work (let’s just say a week of rain does not make for especially short grass) and giving my cute little house a Fall facelift, waiting to see if Hurricane Matthew shows up or skirts past us. Fingers crossed for skirting.
Of course, I’m totally loving my time hanging out with this guy! *swoon*
And, I’m working on getting my blogging mojo back. Yay!
Also, I’m heading back to the doctor to see if I can actually pin down what’s wrong with my knee because it’s not really better and this girl is missing some cool morning runs! Clearly, a BQ at Marine Corps Marathon isn’t happening this year. Hell, that whole marathon thing isn’t happening this year either.
Oh well. It’s all just part of that big rollercoaster ride, right? I’ll make sure I’m safely and securely buckled up and I’ll keep all my limbs inside the car and I promise to open my eyes occasionally so life doesn’t just whiz past me. 🙂
Thanks, Amanda, for letting me Think Out Loud!
