Okay, seriously. Virginia weather is Cuh-Ray-Zee. This past weekend ran the total gamut of weather phenomena. In just 3 days!!! And we all wonder why we are sniffling and feeling under the weather. Ugh.
So, Thursday night and Friday were COLD!!! I was all bundled up when I went out for my walk. Except I forgot my scarf so I couldn’t feel my face. Rookie move. The rest of me was warm – well, except for my toes. Those 10 are NEVER warm. And I was wearing WOOL SOCKS!!! Uncooperative toes. :/
Anyhoo, I got out on Friday and pretty much finished up my Christmas shopping. I got really hangry and had to make a Panera run. Am I the only one addicted to their butternut squash soup? Oh. Em. Gee.
I only have a couple of things left and I’m letting Amazon take care of that for me. 🙂 Then, Friday afternoon, I had a Christmas music and gift-wrapping party.
We had planned on heading up to our local Christmas parade on Saturday morning but, it was cold and wet and misty and BLAH! Santa would just have to go on without us.
Even though those plans were ruined, we still had donuts to make the morning a little brighter!
And then, I got to spend a few hours playing with this guy.
We (and by we, I mean he) even managed to take a little nap in the chair.
I love him so much! I’m pretty lucky he lives so close. My granddaughter doesn’t live so close so I don’t get to see her every day. 🙁 And, they won’t make it up for Christmas either due to work schedules so I have to wait until next month. It’s okay – I can make it. #ithinkicanithinkicanithinkican
Sunday was a pretty lazy day. It got hella warm (hello, 76 degrees a week from Christmas? This is Virginia, not Arizona!!) and kinda windy but that didn’t stop me from playing Christmas music and making Christmas cookies while I did laundry and some cleaning. Had all the windows open and everything.
And then, the rain came and brought with it a 30 degree temperature drop. Hooray. Good times. #sarcasm #coughcoughhackhackachoo
