Okay, fine. I know what you’re thinking. I do. You’re wondering how in the world I turned trail mix into nut butter. I mean, trail mix has dried fruit and sometimes chocolate candies, right?! Well, I’m not talking about that kind of trail mix. Nope. I’m talking about this kind of trail mix.
I found this blend in the bulk items section at my Kroger and I knew I needed it. Because, I mean, who doesn’t love almonds, cashews, brazil nuts, filberts, and pecans? Exactly. We ALL love them. (Except, of course, those of you who are allergic to tree nuts. Sorry about that. That’s a real bummer. No trail mix nut butter for you, okay? Your health is more important <3)
Anyhooo…..did y’all realize it’s October already? When the heck did THAT happen?! I mean, wasn’t it just like May or something? Where has the time gone??? But, you know what October brings, right? The Great Pumpkin!
Aaaannnnddd, all other things pumpkin, too! Whoop!
Okay, personally, I don’t go crazy over the whole pumpkin spice latte thing but I do love me some pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie, pumpkin oats, pumpkin cake, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin brownies……
So, it totally made sense to me to boost up this nut butter with some warm and homey pumpkin spices! Ah, I can smell the spices now….cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg…mmmmmmm 🙂
Now, don’t go stressing if you’re not a huge pumpkin pie fan. This nut butter does not taste like pumpkin pie. I mean, it’s totally missing the crust and there’s no evaporated milk and that would just be nuts. *wink wink*
Fine. Yes, that was a lame pun. I just couldn’t help it. lol
If you have 10 minutes and a food processor, you have enough time to make this. I promise it’ll be worth it. The hardest part is deciding the first thing you want to put it on!!!
